P.S. I love you

I read this book recently, while on a flight to Paris. The Emirates air-hostesses kept telling me its a good book, and I have to agree. Its a nice story, and well written too. It's been made into a movie.. I would probably enjoy the movie as well.
Its about Holly, a young woman who has lost her husband Gerry to an illness. Its about coping, loving, caring, sharing...and a lot more. I generally don't like stories that begin with a sad event, but this one takes you along, and really makes you feel for Holly. I liked how deeply Holly's husband cared for her, how much he thought about her and what his inevitable demise would do to her. He does a very sweet thing for her, something that makes her grieving period much easier to bear.
He writes her 9 letters, one for each month, with advice she must follow during that month.
The pace of the story is slow at times, but still bearable.
Go read it.... in a flight, on a boring afternoon, or during a business trip when you don't have much to do. I definitely wouldn't call it a must-drop-everything-else-and-read !

Everyone needs a guardian angel! Some people wait their whole lives to find their soul mates, as the book suggests and I thought I found him until he left.

Seriously as a debutante, Cecelia Ahern has done remarkable literature. I so envy her. AFter my first novel I stil feel I am not coming out as neatly as she has.
